The Kitsune (狐) is the fox of Japanese folklore, messenger of the god Inari and a recurring figure in shapeshifter tales. The modern versions (stylized features, layered colors) sell the most. I have a soft spot for the traditional ones, simpler, closer to the masks worn at matsuri festivals.
