Mempo Half-Masks: Samurai Face Armor
The menpō (面頬) is the samurai half-mask that covered the lower face from nose to chin, becoming standard during the Sengoku period (16th century). Despite the common assumption, it never covered the full face: that role belonged to the sōmen, the only true full-face mask. My Mempo line is the most discreet format I make, designed for cosplay wear, photoshoots, and compact display. Every piece is made in my Brittany workshop: PETG 3D print, hand-sanded, acrylic-painted, varnished. Oni, Tengu, Neko Hannya, and Kuchisake styles. From €40. Worldwide shipping via Etsy and daiyokai.com.
