When everyday objects become Yokai.
Inspired by famous Japanese folklore, the Chōchin Obake is the embodiment of an old paper lantern that has come to life. With its single eye, long dangling tongue, and mischievous expression, it represents the playful spirit of household objects (Tsukumogami).
Why adopt this little monster?
Mystical Atmosphere: This is the perfect decorative element to add a touch of "Haunted Japan" to your interior, whether for Halloween or all year round.
Dual Installation: Cleverly designed, it can be placed on a shelf or hung like a real lantern thanks to its top ring.
Trompe-l'oeil finish 🇫🇷: Although 3D printed (robust PETG), the hand-painted finish (airbrush + brush) perfectly imitates the texture of old worn paper and lacquered wood.
Choice of Finishes:
"Premium" Finish (Hand Painted): The Collector's Edition. Realistic paintwork imitating a traditional lantern worn by time (reddish/wood tones), bright eye and realistic tongue.
"Raw" (DIY) model: Straight from the print (supports removed). Unsanded, unpainted. The perfect blank canvas for painting your own lantern spirit.
Technical Specifications:
Dimensions: Realistic size of a small Japanese lantern.
Material: PETG (Durable and strong, not afraid of heat).
Use: Interior decoration (this model is not a functional lamp, but a sculpture).
Note: Each Chōchin Obake is individually painted in our workshop in France, making its expression and "wear" unique.
