This Kitsune shade breaks away from the classic red and white palette. A deep burgundy base, highlighted with gold and bright red, finished with a high-gloss varnish. It's the boldest version in the collection.
Three coats of burgundy as a base, gold lines drawn with a fine brush, and bright red accents as a final touch. Two coats of gloss varnish seal everything in. The final result has a lacquered effect reminiscent of Japanese urushi lacquerware.

What is the difference between these and the other Kitsune in the collection?
White is the Zenko (celestial fox), Black is the Genko (shadow fox). Bordeaux does not follow this traditional duality. It is a modern version, with a darker and more contrasting palette.
Is the Bordeaux wine exactly like it appears in the photos?
The photos were taken in natural light in the workshop. The actual product is very close to the original. As each mask is hand-painted, slight variations in color make each piece unique.
How do I care for this mask?
Use a soft, dry cloth. The varnish protects the paint from UV rays and moisture. Avoid solvents and abrasive products.
