In Japanese tradition, red is not a neutral color. It is the color of Inari shrines, torii gates, and vital energy. On this Kitsune, it takes on a more raw form: glossy varnish, a tense expression, gold teeth and eyes. Not decorative. Present.
The Kitsune is one of the central figures in Japanese folklore. Messenger of the gods, ever-changing spirit, guardian, or trickster, depending on the tale. This red version doesn't belong to any specific story; it belongs to the viewer.

FAQ
What is the difference with the Black Kitsune?
The black (Genko) version has a textured surface and red and gold markings. The red version has a smooth, glossy lacquered surface, a more direct expression. Two finishes, two atmospheres.
What is the difference with the White Kitsune?
White is the luminous and serene version of Kitsune, the Zenko. Red is more direct, more intense. Same basic model, opposite interpretations.
How do I care for this mask?
Dust with a dry brush or microfiber cloth. Avoid water and chemicals. The protective varnish ensures colorfastness indoors.
