This Fujin Wind God Mask is a Dai Yokai interpretation of the storm figure from Japanese mythology. The expression is made to feel alive, tense and moving, as if the wind is already behind it.

It is a handmade mask for collectors, tattoo artists, convention displays and people who want a strong Japanese folklore subject rather than a neutral decoration.

Folklore and visual direction

Fujin is often shown with a bag of winds and appears beside Raijin, the thunder god. This mask keeps that storm energy, but translates it into a face that can sit on a wall or become the center of a photo setup.

The sculpted lines, painted shadows and finish choices are used to give movement to the face. The mask should read clearly from across a room without needing a long explanation.

Making and finish

Each piece is made to order in my Dai Yokai workshop in Brittany. The base is 3D printed in PETG, then sanded, primed, painted by hand with acrylic layers and finished with varnish.

Because the paint is applied by hand, each Fujin keeps small differences in shadows, color depth and varnish. This helps avoid a flat factory look.

Wear, display and limits

The piece can work for wall display, a tattoo studio, a Japanese-themed room, a booth or a photo shoot. It can be worn if the fixing is suitable, but long comfort depends on your setup.

Small differences can appear from one piece to another because the sanding, painted shadows and final finish are done by hand. That is normal for this kind of small workshop production.

Who this piece is for

This piece is for collectors, tattoo artists, convention displays and people who want a Japanese folklore object with a visible handmade surface. It is not the right choice if you need a factory-perfect prop with identical paint on every copy.

The important part is the presence of the face or object: a piece that can be understood quickly by a visitor, photographed easily and still show close-up details when someone comes nearer.

Shipping is tracked from France. As each piece is made to order, the usual making time is around 14 working days before dispatch.

Care and placement

Keep the piece indoors, away from long direct sun exposure and damp rooms. Dust it gently with a soft dry cloth. Do not soak it or use aggressive cleaning products on the painted finish.
