The Fujin Wind God Mask is a contemporary Dai Yokai creation inspired by the Japanese wind deity. Its swept hair, wide eyes, fangs and painted shadows are designed to suggest movement while the mask remains an indoor display object.

Choose this piece if you want a strong Japanese-inspired face for a wall, collection, tattoo studio or photography setup. It is a modern decorative interpretation, not an antique, ritual object or official traditional mask.

Folklore and visual direction

Fujin is the Japanese deity of wind, commonly shown carrying a bag of winds and often paired with Raijin, the thunder deity. This mask translates that visual reference into a contemporary handcrafted object for display and photography.

Choose Traditional green, Traditional blue, Black or Intense red. All four options use the same Fujin sculpt and cost €130. These finish names are Dai Yokai product choices, not fixed historical or religious categories.

For cultural background, read the Fujin wind god guide. For a paired wall display, see the Raijin and Fujin Mask Duo, or compare the full handmade Japanese masks range.

What you receive

  • 1 handmade Fujin Wind God Mask
  • Selected Traditional green, Traditional blue, Black or Intense red finish
  • PETG base, sanded, hand-painted with acrylic layers and varnished
  • One made-to-order Dai Yokai Fujin mask from Brittany
  • Optional display stand only when the €15 add-on is selected

Making and finish

Each mask starts as a PETG print made to order in the Dai Yokai workshop in Brittany. The surface is cleaned, sanded and primed before acrylic colours are applied by hand. The selected green, blue, black or intense red finish is then protected with varnish.

Because every finish is completed by hand, painted shadows, colour depth and varnish can vary slightly from one Fujin mask to another. The sculpt remains the same for all four options.

Wear, display and limits

The mask is intended mainly for indoor wall display, a suitable stand, collections, tattoo studios and photography. Face dimensions and a fixing system are not listed, so contact Dai Yokai before ordering if you intend to wear it. It is not protective equipment or intended for rough, prolonged wear.

The gallery includes several views and finish examples. Select the exact colour in the WooCommerce menu before adding the mask to the cart.

Who this piece is for

This piece is for collectors, tattoo artists and people who want a Fujin-inspired face with a visible handmade surface. It can be displayed alone or paired with Raijin for a wind-and-thunder composition.

The swept forms and high-contrast paint give the mask a clear silhouette from a distance, while the sculpted relief and painted details remain visible at closer range.

Before ordering

Select Traditional green, Traditional blue, Black or Intense red before adding the mask to the cart. All four variations currently cost €130. The optional €15 display stand is included only when selected. Dimensions are not listed, so contact Dai Yokai if fit or available space is critical.

Shipping is tracked from France. As each piece is made to order, the usual making time is around 14 working days before dispatch.

Care and placement

Keep the mask indoors, away from damp rooms, water and prolonged direct sunlight. Remove dust with a soft, dry cloth and avoid aggressive cleaning products that could damage the hand-painted and varnished surface.

Questions before ordering

Can the Fujin mask be worn?

The mask is intended mainly for indoor display and photography. Face dimensions and a fixing system are not specified on the product page. Contact Dai Yokai before ordering if you intend to wear it, and verify fit and fixing before any event. It is not protective equipment.

What material is the Fujin mask made from?

All four variations use a PETG base made in the Dai Yokai workshop. The surface is sanded and primed before acrylic colours are applied by hand, then protected with varnish. No other base material is listed in the current product data.

Which Fujin mask finishes are available?

Choose Traditional green, Traditional blue, Black or Intense red. Every option uses the same Fujin sculpt, is finished by hand in Brittany and currently costs €130. The colour names describe Dai Yokai product finishes rather than historical Fujin mask categories.

How long does the Fujin mask take to make?

The usual making time shown on the product page is around 14 working days before dispatch. Shipping is then tracked from France. This is a made-to-order workshop product, so the stated period covers production before the parcel leaves the workshop.

Is every Fujin mask identical?

No. The Fujin sculpt and main expression remain the same, but sanding, painted shadows, colour depth and varnish can vary slightly because each finish is completed by hand. Small differences between masks are therefore expected. This is normal for handmade work.

How is Fujin different from Raijin?

Fujin represents wind and is commonly depicted with a bag of winds. Raijin represents thunder and is commonly shown with drums. Dai Yokai offers this Fujin mask alone and also sells a separate Raijin and Fujin duo for paired display.

What is included with the Fujin mask?

You receive one Fujin Wind God Mask in the selected Traditional green, Traditional blue, Black or Intense red finish. The optional €15 display stand is included only when its checkbox is selected before adding the product to the cart. No other accessory is stated as included.

How should I care for the Fujin mask?

Keep the mask indoors and away from damp rooms, water and prolonged direct sunlight. Remove dust with a soft, dry cloth and avoid aggressive cleaning products. This protects the acrylic paint, varnish and small hand-finished details from premature wear. Handle the sculpted details carefully.
