Description
The Hōju Display Stand is a separate accessory for showing a compatible Japanese mask without mounting it directly on a wall. Its upright shape keeps the stand visually discreet so the mask remains the focus of the display.
Use it for a collection shelf, desk, display case, tattoo studio counter, product photograph or convention table. It is intended for indoor display on a stable, level surface.
Compatibility comes first
No universal fit is claimed. A mask with large horns, a long beak, a moving jaw or an unusual center of gravity may sit differently from a simpler full-face design. Check the exact mask and stand together before ordering.
Maximum supported weight: to verify. If these details are not shown, contact the Dai Yokai workshop with the exact mask name so compatibility can be confirmed before purchase.
Visual style
The Hōju-inspired silhouette adds a small Japanese visual reference without competing with the mask. The finish is applied by hand, so slight differences in painted shadows, color depth and varnish are part of the workshop process.
Where to place the stand
Place it on a stable indoor shelf, desk, display case, counter or convention table. Position the mask carefully and check its balance before leaving the display unattended. This product is not described as a wall mount.
For the broader product family, see the Japanese mask stands and accessories. For practical background, read the Japanese mask display guide.
Making process
Each stand is made to order in the Dai Yokai workshop in Brittany, France. The PETG base is printed, cleaned, sanded and primed before acrylic color is applied by hand and protected with varnish.
Before ordering
Check the product photograph, price and current availability. Do not assume that the standalone Hōju stand is included with a mask. If dimensions, supported weight or compatibility are unclear, contact the workshop before adding it to the order.

Frequently asked questions
What is the Hōju Japanese mask display stand used for?
It is a display-only accessory for presenting a compatible Japanese mask upright on a stable indoor surface. It can be used on a shelf, desk, counter, display case or convention table. The stand is not a wearable product and is not described as a wall mount.
Does the Hōju stand fit every Dai Yokai mask?
No universal fit is claimed. Mask height, shape, weight, horns, beaks and moving parts can affect balance. Review the product photograph and contact Dai Yokai with the exact mask name before ordering if compatibility is not already confirmed on the mask page.
Can the Hōju stand be mounted on a wall?
No wall-mount function is currently specified. The product is intended for a stable indoor shelf, desk, counter, display case or convention table. If you need a wall solution, use the mask’s confirmed mounting method or ask the workshop for guidance before ordering.
What material is the stand made from?
The stand uses a PETG base. It is printed, cleaned, sanded and primed in the Dai Yokai workshop, then painted by hand with acrylic color and finished with varnish. Slight variations in the painted finish can occur because each piece is completed individually.
What are the dimensions and supported weight?
Check the Details section for the current stand dimensions. Confirm the maximum supported weight with the workshop before ordering. Contact Dai Yokai before ordering with the exact mask model and intended display surface so the relevant compatibility details can be confirmed.
Is the stand included with every mask?
Do not assume that a stand is included. Check the selected mask page, its available options and the cart contents before checkout. This standalone Hōju display stand has its own product page and price. Any separate stand option should be selected explicitly when it is offered.
How should I position a mask on the stand?
Use a stable, level indoor surface and place the mask carefully so its weight is balanced. Check that horns, beaks or moving jaws do not pull the mask forward or sideways. If the setup feels unstable, remove the mask and contact the workshop before displaying it.
