Description
The Japanese Fox Kitsune Mask is a direct fox-spirit piece. It is less aggressive than an Oni or Hannya mask and easier to place in a bright room, cosplay display or gift setup.
Choose it if you want a clear Kitsune face without going too dark. It is a good first Japanese mask for someone who likes foxes, Inari imagery or festival-style masks.
Visual style
The mask uses a clean fox silhouette, painted details and a handmade finish. The face should stay readable from a wall while still showing brushwork up close.
Kyoto’s official travel guide explains that foxes are seen as messengers of Inari at Fushimi Inari Taisha. Kitsune stories vary beyond that shrine context. These Dai Yokai masks are contemporary decorative interpretations, not shrine objects, sacred items or ritual masks.
Where to place this piece
Hang it in a bedroom, studio, cosplay room or collection wall. It also works on a stand if you want to avoid drilling.

Making process
Each piece is made to order in my Dai Yokai workshop in Brittany, France. The base is 3D printed in PETG, then cleaned, sanded, primed, painted by hand with acrylic layers and finished with varnish.
The aim is to keep a visible handmade surface: shadows in the relief, small variations in the painted details and a finish that does not look like flat factory plastic.
Who it is for
It is for Kitsune fans, cosplayers, gift buyers and people who want a handmade Japanese fox mask with a softer mood.
The mask is sold primarily for indoor wall display and short staged photography. WooCommerce records an approximate weight of 200 g but does not confirm dimensions, internal attachment, fit or field of vision. Contact Dai Yokai before ordering if you need comfortable convention wear, repeated movement or prolonged use.
Before ordering
Choose White Zenko or Black Nogitsune at €130, or Cracked Red and Gold at €120, before adding the mask to the cart. This listing includes one mask. The optional €15 stand is included only when selected. Dimensions and internal attachment are not confirmed.
Shipping is tracked from France. As the piece is made to order, the usual making time is around 14 working days before dispatch.
Care and placement
Keep the piece indoors, away from long direct sun exposure and damp rooms. Dust it with a soft dry cloth. Do not soak it or use aggressive cleaning products on the painted finish.
FAQ
Can this mask be worn?
The Japanese Fox Kitsune Mask is sold primarily for wall display and short staged photos. WooCommerce records an approximate weight of 200 g but does not confirm dimensions, internal attachment, fit or field of vision. Contact Dai Yokai before ordering if you need comfortable convention wear, repeated movement or prolonged use.
Is it suitable for wall display?
Yes. This Kitsune mask is intended for indoor wall display, tattoo studios, convention booths and collector setups. The separate €15 display stand supports shelf or display-case presentation. Its approximate weight is 200 g, but dimensions are not confirmed, so contact Dai Yokai before planning a size-sensitive installation.
How is it made?
Each Kitsune mask is made to order in the Dai Yokai workshop in Brittany, France. Its PETG base is prepared, sanded and primed before the selected colour, painted details, shadows and protective varnish are applied by hand. WooCommerce records an approximate finished weight of 200 g.
Is each piece identical?
No. The fox-mask form and selected White Zenko, Black Nogitsune or Cracked Red and Gold finish remain consistent, while sanding marks, painted lines, shaded recesses and colour depth can vary slightly. These differences come from the manual preparation and finishing of each individual mask.
Is it a good choice for a tattoo studio?
The Japanese Fox Kitsune Mask can suit a tattoo studio or creative space that uses Japanese-inspired decor. Its pointed ears and clean fox silhouette remain readable from a distance. Dimensions are not confirmed, so check the intended display area before ordering or contact Dai Yokai for a tight installation.
How can I display it?
Display the Kitsune mask indoors on a suitable wall fixing or add the separate €15 stand for a shelf, desk or display case. The product weighs about 200 g, but dimensions are not confirmed. Keep the painted finish away from damp rooms, prolonged direct sun and aggressive cleaning products.
Can I request a colour variation?
Choose White Zenko or Black Nogitsune at €130, or Cracked Red and Gold at €120, directly on the product page. This listing includes one mask. For another colour or specific finish, contact Dai Yokai before ordering so feasibility, timing and any price difference can be confirmed.
Which mask should I choose if I hesitate?
Choose White Zenko for the lightest finish, Black Nogitsune for a darker display, or Cracked Red and Gold for stronger contrast. These are visual finish choices, not claims about ritual use. Compare the Kitsune collection or Traditional Kitsune Mask if you prefer another fox shape before ordering.
