The announced programme
Petit Konbini’s official listing gave the address as 34 boulevard Carnot, Lille, and announced 2,500 m² with more than 40 stands. The programme combined Japanese crafts, illustration, vintage objects, music, food and workshops.
The listing announced Fumie Hihara on koto, the Mitsuno Bamboo trio on shinobue and five Japanese genre-film screenings with Roboto Films. It also included Kiyomi’s cooking demonstration, the Jive in Tokyo photography exhibition and activities such as calligraphy, origami and aikido. The Dai Yokai stand
Dai Yokai’s participation offered a chance to see workshop pieces away from a screen and discuss how they are made. Looking at an object from several angles helps explain its size, relief and finish.
Dai Yokai masks are 3D printed in PETG, then sanded, painted and finished by hand in Brittany. For a piece intended to be worn, check the individual product’s dimensions and suitability; a visit to a stand does not make every model suitable for cosplay.
