Description

Articulated Jorōgumo Mask

This mask is a contemporary interpretation of Jorōgumo, the spider yōkai found in Japanese folklore. Its moving jaw creates an expressive presence for photography, occasional costume wear or display.

It is not a traditional Japanese mask or a historical reproduction. It is a Dai Yokai creation inspired by this folklore.

Made in the workshop

The PETG base is 3D printed in the Dai Yokai workshop in Brittany. The finished piece then goes through several stages: surface preparation, sanding, priming, acrylic painting, varnishing and assembly.

The finishing is done by hand. Shadows, colour nuances and some details may therefore vary slightly from one piece to another.

Wear, photography or display

The mask can be used for a photo shoot, occasional costume wear, a convention or as a display piece. Before wearing it for a longer period, check the comfort, fixing method and field of vision.

Handle the moving section gently. Store the mask away from friction, damp conditions and prolonged direct sunlight.
