Description
The Salaryman Oni Mask is an original Dai Yokai creation rather than a direct copy of a traditional mask. It takes the idea of the demon and pulls it into a modern office mood: tired face, pressure, suit-world anger and a bit of dark humour.
Choose it if you want an Oni that does not feel like every classic red demon mask. It is more character-driven and works well for a studio, office wall, convention booth or collector shelf.
Visual style
The expression is built to be readable before the details are studied. It should feel human enough to be uncomfortable and demon enough to belong in the Dai Yokai universe.
Oni are Japanese demons, but this version is a contemporary interpretation. It is not a ritual mask, not an antique and not a claim about office culture in Japan.
Where to place this piece
Place it where the concept can be understood: a workspace, tattoo studio, creative room, convention display or wall with other modern yokai pieces.
Compare the handmade Oni mask collection, read the yokai and Japanese demons guide, or add a separate mask display stand.
Making process
Each piece is made to order in my Dai Yokai workshop in Brittany, France. The base is 3D printed in PETG, then cleaned, sanded, primed, painted by hand with acrylic layers and finished with varnish.
The aim is to keep a visible handmade surface: shadows in the relief, small variations in the painted details and a finish that does not look like flat factory plastic.
Who it is for
It is for collectors who like original characters, tattoo artists, office survivors with dark humour and people who want a demon mask with a story.
The mask is sold primarily for indoor wall display and short staged photography. WooCommerce data does not confirm dimensions, internal attachment, fit or field of vision. Contact Dai Yokai before ordering if you need comfortable convention wear, repeated movement or prolonged use.
Before ordering
Choose White or Aka Red before adding the mask to the cart. Both finishes cost €120. The optional €15 display stand is included only when selected. Dimensions are not confirmed, so contact Dai Yokai if the mask must fit a precise wall, shelf or wearable setup.
Shipping is tracked from France. As the piece is made to order, the usual making time is around 14 working days before dispatch.
Care and placement
Keep the piece indoors, away from long direct sun exposure and damp rooms. Dust it with a soft dry cloth. Do not soak it or use aggressive cleaning products on the painted finish.
FAQ
Can this mask be worn?
The mask is sold primarily for wall display and short staged photos. WooCommerce records an approximate weight of 200 g but does not confirm dimensions, internal attachment, fit or field of vision. Contact Dai Yokai before ordering for prolonged or movement-heavy wear.
Is it suitable for wall display?
Yes. The Salaryman Oni Mask is intended for indoor wall display, offices, tattoo studios, convention booths and collector setups. An optional €15 stand supports shelf or display-case presentation. Dimensions are not confirmed, so contact Dai Yokai before planning a size-sensitive installation.
How is it made?
Each mask is made to order in the Dai Yokai workshop in Brittany, France. Its PETG base is prepared, sanded and primed before acrylic colour, facial shadows and protective varnish are applied by hand. Current WooCommerce data records an approximate weight of 200 g.
Is each piece identical?
No. The underlying office-demon model and selected White or Aka Red finish remain consistent, while sanding marks, shaded recesses, colour depth and small painted details can vary slightly. These differences come from the manual preparation and finishing of each individual mask.
Is it a good choice for a tattoo studio?
The Salaryman Oni Mask can suit a tattoo studio, office or creative workspace that uses dark humour and Japanese-inspired decor. Its tired human expression and Oni features remain readable from a distance. Dimensions are not confirmed, so check the intended display area before ordering.
How can I display it?
Display the Salaryman Oni Mask indoors on a suitable wall fixing or add the optional €15 stand for a shelf, desk or display case. The product weighs about 200 g, but dimensions are not confirmed, so contact Dai Yokai for a tight installation.
Can I request a colour variation?
Choose White or Aka Red directly on the product page. Both variations currently cost €120 and are available. For another colour request, contact Dai Yokai before ordering. A custom finish is not confirmed until its feasibility, price and timing are agreed.
Which mask should I choose if I hesitate?
Choose the Salaryman Oni Mask if you want an original office-demon character with a tired human expression and dark humour. For a more traditional Oni shape, compare the handmade Oni mask collection before ordering instead of relying on this contemporary concept alone.
