Description

The Berserk Hannya Mask takes the jealous demon face and pushes it toward a darker fantasy mood. It is still read as a Hannya first, with horns, fangs and anger, but the finish gives it a more brutal presence.

Choose it if you want a Hannya that feels less traditional and more aggressive. It works well in a dark collection, tattoo studio or photo setup where the face needs to hit quickly.

Visual style

The red, cracked red and cracked blue finishes combine hard shadows with graphic marks for a sharper dark fantasy direction. Each surface is painted and finished by hand rather than supplied as a flat factory prop.

This is a contemporary Dai Yokai interpretation inspired by Hannya imagery and dark fantasy references. It is an unofficial fan-inspired art mask, not a licensed Berserk product, historical replica, traditional Noh mask or ritual object.

Where to place this piece

Hang it with other Hannya, Oni or dark fantasy pieces. It needs enough light to show the hand-painted marks and the relief around the mouth and brow.

For the broader product family, see the Hannya masks. For background, read the Hannya x Berserk mask article.

Making process

Each piece is made to order in my Dai Yokai workshop in Brittany, France. The base is 3D printed in PETG, then cleaned, sanded, primed, painted by hand with acrylic layers and finished with varnish.

The aim is to keep a visible handmade surface: shadows in the relief, small variations in the painted details and a finish that does not look like flat factory plastic.

Who it is for

It is for Hannya collectors, tattoo artists, dark fantasy fans and people who want a stronger demon mask than a calm decorative piece.

It can be used for photos if the fixing suits you, but it is mainly a wall and display mask. Handle the painted finish with care.

Before ordering

Choose red, cracked red or cracked blue before adding the mask to the cart. Current product data lists each finish at approximately 18.42 × 9.48 × 26.54 cm and 0.18 kg. Measure the display space and check the fixing and fit required for your use.

Shipping is tracked from France. As the piece is made to order, the usual making time is around 14 working days before dispatch.

Care and placement

Keep the piece indoors, away from long direct sun exposure and damp rooms. Dust it with a soft dry cloth. Do not soak it or use aggressive cleaning products on the painted finish.

Frequently asked questions

Can this mask be worn?

This piece is mainly made for wall display, photos and occasional event wear. Check the fit and fixing system before using it for a full convention day.

Is it suitable for wall display?

Yes. The Berserk Hannya Mask works well on a wall, shelf, display case, tattoo studio wall or convention booth. Keep it indoors and away from damp rooms.

How is it made?

It is made to order in the Dai Yokai workshop in Brittany, France. The base is 3D printed in PETG, then sanded, primed, hand-painted with acrylic layers and varnished.

Is each piece identical?

No. The shape stays the same, but sanding marks, painted shadows, colour depth and varnish can vary slightly because the finish is done by hand.

Is it a good choice for a tattoo studio?

Yes, if the Berserk Hannya Mask matches the mood of the studio. It gives a clear Japanese folklore reference without needing a large installation.

How can I display it?

You can hang it on a wall, place it on a suitable stand, use a shelf or build a small display area with books, prints or other Japanese-inspired objects.

Can I request a colour variation?

If a colour or finish option is shown on the product page, you can choose it before ordering. For a specific request, contact me first so I can confirm feasibility.

Is this an official Berserk product?

No. This is an unofficial, fan-inspired Dai Yokai art mask. It combines a contemporary Hannya design with a forehead mark inspired by dark fantasy imagery and is not affiliated with or licensed by the Berserk rights holders.
