Description

This Large-Format Tengu Mask is made for presence. The long nose, stern face and larger silhouette make it more visible than a compact mask, especially on a wall or in a studio display.

Choose it if you want the Tengu shape to be the main piece in a room rather than a small accent. It needs enough space around it to keep the profile readable.

Visual style

The mask works through profile and shadow. The long nose gives it distance impact, while the hand-painted finish keeps the brow, cheeks and mouth from looking flat.

Tengu are tied to mountains, martial legends and pride. This is a modern Dai Yokai display mask inspired by that folklore, not a religious object or an antique festival piece.

Making process

Each piece is made to order in my Dai Yokai workshop in Brittany, France. The base is 3D printed in PETG, then cleaned, sanded, primed, painted by hand with acrylic layers and finished with varnish.

The aim is to keep a visible handmade surface: shadows in the relief, small variations in the painted details and a finish that does not look like flat factory plastic.

Who it is for

It is for collectors, tattoo artists, cosplayers and people who want a clear Tengu subject with more size than a standard mask.

Because of the larger profile, it is better as a display and photo piece than a long-wear convention mask.

Shipping is tracked from France. As the piece is made to order, the usual making time is around 14 working days before dispatch.

Care and placement

Keep the piece indoors, away from long direct sun exposure and damp rooms. Dust it with a soft dry cloth. Do not soak it or use aggressive cleaning products on the painted finish.
