About this piece
The large-format Tengu mask is my Dai-Tengu built for wearing. Where the traditional one is display-first, this one has face-friendly proportions: wider, better balanced, more comfortable for long wear at a convention or shoot.
Where it comes from
The Tengu (天狗) is the long-nosed mountain yokai tied to the yamabushi and to martial arts. This model keeps those codes in a format made to be worn, not only displayed.
