Description

The Karasu Tengu Crow Warrior Mask is built around the sharper bird-like side of Tengu folklore. It has a more martial feeling than a long-nosed Tengu mask, with a crow profile that reads quickly in a display.

Choose it if you want a Tengu piece that feels fast, aggressive and less theatrical than the classic red nose. It sits well with dark tattoo references, samurai imagery and yokai collections.

Visual style

The mask uses the beak line, brow and painted shadows to create a crow-warrior presence. It should work from across the room, but still show hand-painted details when someone comes closer.

Karasu Tengu are often connected with mountains, martial skill and bird forms. This is a Dai Yokai art mask inspired by that imagery, not a temple object or an antique theater piece.

Making process

Each piece is made to order in my Dai Yokai workshop in Brittany, France. The base is 3D printed in PETG, then cleaned, sanded, primed, painted by hand with acrylic layers and finished with varnish.

The aim is to keep a visible handmade surface: shadows in the relief, small variations in the painted details and a finish that does not look like flat factory plastic.

Who it is for

It is for collectors, cosplayers, tattoo artists and fans of Japanese yokai who want a mask with a strong silhouette.

It can be used for photos or short event wear if the fixing is suitable, but the sculptural shape is mainly designed for impact and display.
