Description

The Karasu Tengu Crow Mask focuses on the bird side of Tengu imagery. It is less about the human long-nosed face and more about the crow silhouette, mountain spirit mood and sharp profile.

It is a good choice if you want a Tengu piece that feels darker and more animal than the red traditional version. It pairs well with samurai, crow and yokai references.

Visual style

The beak shape, brow and painted shadows give the mask its identity. The finish is handmade so the surface keeps small variations and does not read as a flat costume accessory.

Karasu Tengu appear in Japanese folklore as bird-like Tengu connected with mountains and martial skill. This piece is a decorative interpretation, not an official traditional mask.

Making process

Each piece is made to order in my Dai Yokai workshop in Brittany, France. The base is 3D printed in PETG, then cleaned, sanded, primed, painted by hand with acrylic layers and finished with varnish.

The aim is to keep a visible handmade surface: shadows in the relief, small variations in the painted details and a finish that does not look like flat factory plastic.

Who it is for

It is for Tengu fans, collectors, cosplayers and tattoo artists who want a sharper yokai silhouette.

It can be used for photos if the fixing works for you, but the sculptural profile is mainly made for visual impact and display.
