The Oni (鬼) is the most well-known creature in Japanese mythology. Often translated as "Ogre" or "Demon," it embodies an unstoppable force of nature. With its menacing horns, protruding fangs, and ferocious expression, it symbolizes raw power. But make no mistake: in Japan, such a frightening face serves primarily to scare away evil spirits.
