Description

The Black and White Kitsune Mask Duo contains two contemporary masks based on the same fox sculpt, one white and one black. The colour contrast is a Dai Yokai design choice for paired display, not a fixed traditional Kitsune pairing or a good-versus-evil code.

Choose the duo if you want a ready-made pair instead of one isolated fox mask. It is useful for symmetrical wall decor, couple cosplay styling, gifts or a larger Kitsune display.

Visual style

The two masks share the same sculpt and construction. Their black and white paint directions create the contrast, while hand-painted lines and shadows give each finished piece small variations.

Kitsune are fox figures linked with transformation, Inari and trickster stories depending on the source and tradition. These are contemporary Dai Yokai decorative masks, not official shrine objects, ritual masks or historical replicas. Colour alone does not identify a fixed type of Kitsune.

Where to place this piece

Hang them side by side, split them around a print, place one on each side of a shelf, or use them as a pair for photos.

For the broader product family, see the Kitsune masks. For background, read the Kitsune mask meaning guide.

Making process

Each piece is made to order in my Dai Yokai workshop in Brittany, France. The base is 3D printed in PETG, then cleaned, sanded, primed, painted by hand with acrylic layers and finished with varnish.

The aim is to keep a visible handmade surface: shadows in the relief, small variations in the painted details and a finish that does not look like flat factory plastic.

Who it is for

It is for Kitsune fans, cosplayers, collectors and people who want a coordinated fox-mask pair rather than choosing one colour. The matching shape suits symmetrical wall display and photography.

The masks are intended primarily for indoor wall display, photography and careful costume styling. Any occasional wear requires suitable fixing and a fit check. They are not protective equipment or intended for rough, prolonged wear.

Before ordering

Use the photos, options and additional information on the page before ordering. If the piece is for a wall, booth, outfit or gift, measure the space first and choose the finish that fits the setting.

Shipping is tracked from France. As the piece is made to order, the usual making time is around 14 working days before dispatch.

Care and placement

Keep the piece indoors, away from long direct sun exposure and damp rooms. Dust it with a soft dry cloth. Do not soak it or use aggressive cleaning products on the painted finish.

Frequently asked questions

Can this mask duo be worn?

This pair is made mainly for indoor wall display and photography. Any occasional wear requires a suitable fixing setup and a fit check; the masks are not protective equipment or intended for rough, prolonged wear.

Is it suitable for wall display?

Yes. The Black and White Kitsune Mask Duo works well on a wall, shelf, display case, tattoo studio wall or convention booth. Keep it indoors and away from damp rooms.

How is it made?

It is made to order in the Dai Yokai workshop in Brittany, France. The base is 3D printed in PETG, then sanded, primed, hand-painted with acrylic layers and varnished.

Is each piece identical?

No. The shape stays the same, but sanding marks, painted shadows, colour depth and varnish can vary slightly because the finish is done by hand.

What does the Kitsune duo include?

The product includes two masks based on the same fox sculpt, one white and one black. The optional €15 add-on is one display stand and is included only when selected before adding the duo to the cart.

Is black and white a traditional Kitsune pairing?

Not as a fixed traditional pair. White fox imagery is widely connected with Inari, while black foxes also appear in Japanese fox traditions, but this black-and-white combination is a contemporary Dai Yokai display choice.

What is the difference between the two masks?

They use the same sculpt, PETG construction and varnished handmade finish. The principal difference is the black or white paint direction; small variations in lines, shadows and varnish are normal because each mask is finished by hand.

What is the current duo price?

The regular price is €260 and the current sale price is €240, a €20 reduction for the two-mask set. The optional display stand is separate and costs €15 when selected.
