This product brings together two contemporary Dai Yokai interpretations of Yuki-Onna, the snow woman of Japanese folklore: a calmer Geisha-inspired face and a darker Kuchisake-inspired version. These are modern decorative mask designs, not historical Yuki-Onna mask types or traditional ritual objects.

The Geisha version works best as a decorative folklore piece. The Kuchisake version is more horror-oriented, with an articulated jaw and a stronger staged presence. The duo is made for a paired display or photo setup.

Where the inspiration comes from

Yuki-Onna is the snow woman of Japanese folklore. The blue palette and pale contrasts translate that winter atmosphere into a contemporary mask. The Kuchisake option combines two independent references: Yuki-Onna’s cold visual theme and Kuchisake-Onna’s slit-mouth horror imagery. Its lower jaw is articulated for visual movement.

Wearing or displaying it

These pieces are intended primarily for indoor display, photography and careful costume styling. Fit and comfort depend on the selected version and fixing setup. The Kuchisake lower jaw is a separate articulated section whose response depends on fit and handling. These masks are not protective equipment or pieces for rough, prolonged wear.

This is an artisanal object, not an industrial plastic prop. The surface, shadows and small painted details should be handled with the same care as a hand-finished decorative piece.
