Description

This Tengu half-mask takes its distinctive profile from the long nose associated with human-like Tengu figures in Japanese imagery. It covers part of the face and remains especially recognizable from the side.

Choose it for a pronounced long-nose profile. The current finish is dark red with black details, with no color or detail selector on this product page.

Visual style

The long nose distinguishes this model from the Tengu Mempo half-mask, whose expression focuses more on the mouth and teeth. Allow enough clearance for the projecting nose when displaying or wearing the mask; the full measurements are in the Details section.

Tengu are mountain spirits in Japanese folklore. This is a contemporary Dai Yokai creation inspired by that imagery, not historical armor, a ritual object or protective equipment.

Where to place this piece

Place it on a suitable stand, stable shelf or in a display case. The supplied cord also allows wall display; leave sufficient clearance for the long nose.

Making process

Each piece is made to order in my Dai Yokai workshop in Brittany, France. The base is 3D printed in PETG, then cleaned, sanded, primed, painted by hand with acrylic layers and finished with varnish.

The aim is to keep a visible handmade surface: shadows in the relief, small variations in the painted details and a finish that does not look like flat factory plastic.

Who it is for

It is for photographers, collectors, tattoo artists and people who want a Tengu half-mask with a marked long-nose profile.

A cord is supplied, without foam or an elastic strap. Occasional wear for a photograph or costume is possible after a fit check; comfort and field of vision depend on your face shape and must be checked before longer wear.

Shipping is tracked from France. As the piece is made to order, the usual making time is around 14 working days before dispatch.

Care and placement

Keep the piece indoors, away from long direct sun exposure and damp rooms. Dust it with a soft dry cloth. Do not soak it or use aggressive cleaning products on the painted finish.
