Description

The Tengu Mempo Half Mask combines a long-nosed Tengu expression with a compact lower-face format. The gallery shows deep brow lines, gold fangs and a pointed beard across red, white, blue and black finishes.

Choose it for photography, a tattoo-studio display, a shelf or careful costume styling. Select one of four colours and either black or gold teeth before adding it to the cart. Every combination is currently €60.

Visual style

The long nose, furrowed brow, fangs and pointed beard make the Tengu reference immediately readable. Hand-painted shadows and metallic details change slightly from piece to piece because each finish is completed by hand.

Tengu are mountain spirits in Japanese folklore and are commonly represented with a red face and long nose. Historical Mempo were armour components. This Dai Yokai piece combines those visual references in a contemporary PETG art mask; it is not ritual equipment, antique armour or protective gear.

Where to place this piece

Use it on a stand, shelf, wall hook or cosplay setup. It pairs naturally with Tengu, samurai and mountain-spirit references.

Browse all Tengu masks or the wider Mempo half-mask collection. Compare the same lower-face format with the fixed red finish of the Red Samurai Mempo Half Mask or the shorter-nosed Oni Mempo Half Mask. For cultural context, read the Tengu mask guide.

Making process

Each piece is made to order in my Dai Yokai workshop in Brittany, France. The base is 3D printed in PETG, then cleaned, sanded, primed, painted by hand with acrylic layers and finished with varnish.

The aim is to keep a visible handmade surface: shadows in the relief, small variations in the painted details and a finish that does not look like flat factory plastic.

Who it is for

It is for photographers, collectors, tattoo artists and buyers who want a compact Tengu piece with selectable colour and tooth finishes.

Any occasional wear requires a suitable fixing setup and a fit check. The listing does not currently specify an included strap, and the mask is not protective equipment or intended for rough, prolonged wear.

Before ordering

Choose the colour and tooth finish before ordering. Current product data lists every combination at €60 and a weight of 0.1 kg. Exact dimensions are not shown. The optional €15 display stand is included only when selected.

Shipping is tracked from France. As the piece is made to order, the usual making time is around 14 working days before dispatch.

Care and placement

Keep the piece indoors, away from long direct sun exposure and damp rooms. Dust it with a soft dry cloth. Do not soak it or use aggressive cleaning products on the painted finish.
