Description

The Tengu Mempo Half Mask keeps the mountain-yokai reference in a compact lower-face format. It is easier to display or style than a full long-nosed Tengu mask.

Choose it if you want a Tengu direction without the bulk of a large mask. It works well on a stand, with a costume, or in a smaller wall setup.

Visual style

The half-mask relies on mouth shape, color and hand-painted shadows instead of a long nose. That makes it quieter, but still connected to the Tengu family.

Tengu are linked with mountains, discipline and martial legends in Japanese folklore. This is a Dai Yokai decorative half-mask, not a ritual object or armor part.

Where to place this piece

Use it on a stand, shelf, wall hook or cosplay setup. It pairs naturally with Tengu, samurai and mountain-spirit references.

Making process

Each piece is made to order in my Dai Yokai workshop in Brittany, France. The base is 3D printed in PETG, then cleaned, sanded, primed, painted by hand with acrylic layers and finished with varnish.

The aim is to keep a visible handmade surface: shadows in the relief, small variations in the painted details and a finish that does not look like flat factory plastic.

Who it is for

It is for cosplayers, collectors, tattoo artists and people who want a smaller Tengu piece with a handmade finish.

It can be worn for photos or short events with a suitable fixing, but comfort and visibility depend on your setup.

Shipping is tracked from France. As the piece is made to order, the usual making time is around 14 working days before dispatch.

Care and placement

Keep the piece indoors, away from long direct sun exposure and damp rooms. Dust it with a soft dry cloth. Do not soak it or use aggressive cleaning products on the painted finish.
